Culinary Cinema Series "Life is Beautiful" Thursday April 7 6pm

Life is Beautiful
Some of us saw this wonderful film, which won Best Foreign Language Film of 1999 Academy Awards and who could forget Roberto Benigni as he accepted his award as Best Actor.  This actor, who also wrote and directed this film embodied his character, Guido, a  carefree Jewish bookkeeper.  Guido woes, courts and finally marries the love of his life on the eve of WWII.  As the German occupation of Italy becomes a reality, Guido refuses to emotionally give in to his captors.  He creates his own reality for himself and his little boy.  This tragi-comedy proves that the human spirit can triumph.

Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer prior to the film and in a cocktail setting apres film, enjoy Italian inspired food and desserts.  All exhibitions will be open.
