Summer Soirée Art Auction

Over thirty local artists have donated original works of art including paintings, drawings and sculptures, to support Oceanside Museum of Art’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Summer Soirée. For the first time ever the artwork in this silent auction will be on view in the OMA Groves Auditorium Gallery for an extended period of time to allow visitors the chance to preview the auction items and place their bids before the hammer goes down on July 23 at 9:00 p.m. Participating artists include James Aitchison, Irv Simpson, Allison Renshaw, Marianela de la Hoz, Scott W. Prior, Fritzie Urquhart, Philipp Scholtz Rittermann, Robert Perine, Lizet Benrey, Tara Smith, Sandra Chanis and more. Proceeds from the auction will support the museum’s dynamic exhibitions and programs.

This year, OMA will present a new artistic interpretation of its annual fundraiser ball. The Summer Soirée will offer a blend of sophistication and light-hearted fun on a starry summer night from 6:00-11:00 p.m., Saturday July 23. Known in the past as the Museum Ball, the Summer Soirée will sizzle with excitement at OMA and on the street in front of the museum. Reservations for OMA’s Summer Soirée are $200 per person. Those who make their reservations by June 26 will receive the early-bird discount of $175 per person. In addition, a variety of sponsorship options are still available. Call the museum for more information or reservations at 760.435.3721.
